What home theater seat styles are right for you?
When purchasing home theater seats, think about who will be using the seats. If you plan on using your home theater room as a central room in the house where you will spend a significant amount of time in the seats, consider purchasing seat where there is a built-in table in between each seat. Use this not only for drinks but to keep a bowl of popcorn or snacks handy during the movie. Some seats offer in-arm storage for remote controls and channel guides. The drawback of these arms is that they require more space, whereas some chairs have very thin armrests which does not have enough room to accommodate storage area.
If you worry about spilling drinks, consider getting leather or leather/vinyl home theater seats. If you spill a drink, you can easily wipe it up. On fabric seats, it will be more difficult to clean up.
When choosing a color, consider what looks good in your room. Try to find a contrast of your walls, carpets and the home theater seats themselves. If you decide to pick a “wild” color such as ruby red or something outlandish, consider that you will have to see these seats every day for many years to come. Will you get sick of the color? Black and brown seats are the most popular choices.
